🏇 Laarbrug riding stable — just around the corner
Between Ommen and Vilsteren, just behind the river Regge, lies the Laarbrug riding stable — a family business with more than 45 years’ experience, an indoor and outdoor arena and its own bar-restaurant. From the stable you’re in the woods of Het Laar within five minutes for a beautiful trail ride.
There are trail rides of 2 to 3 hours through wood and field, and on Wednesdays a day ride to the Lemelerberg. There’s plenty for children too, from lessons to pony camps. Booking is advisable, especially during holiday periods.

⛳ Pitch & Putt Lemele — golf for everyone
At the foot of the Lemelerberg, overlooking the gently rolling es-landscape against the woodland edge, lies the 18-hole Pitch & Putt course “De kleine Esch”. Every hole is challenging thanks to bunkers, planting and large water features — but pitch and putt is easy-going and fun for everyone, even without golf experience.
Besides the classic game you can play footgolf and pétanque, and afterwards you can settle on the terrace of the characterful Irish pub overlooking the course. Combine it with a walk across the southern slope of the Lemelerberg.
